The Good Samaritan Center – Part One

Lamar-Hunt-Jr.-at-Golf-Tournament-246x300Lamar Hunt Jr. and Loretto Foundation support the Good Samaritan Center. Recently the Good Samaritan Center held its annual golf scramble tournament to help raise money for their excellent programs. The Good Samaritan Center was founded 26 years ago, by Father Larry Speichinger to meet the emergency needs of people living in Clay and Ray Counties. The mission was originally supported by St. Ann Catholic Church and grew into an independent faith-based social service agency giving emergency assistance and advocacy to families and individuals who were lacking or at risk of not having life’s basic necessities.  In 2011, the Center assisted almost 5,200 separate individuals with approximately $550,000 in services and goods. This charity is a great one! Please consider giving to it at . You can also see for more information about others we support.
