Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas Part Two

Lamar Hunt Jr. and Loretto Foundation love to support Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas. Their Three Pillars mission includes a goal that mirrors that of Loretto Foundation:  Strengthening Families. Under this mission goal, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provides a variety of services. One service is the Foster Grandparents Program which mentors at-risk and special needs kids in public schools, day cares and Head Starts. Another great service is Marriage for Keeps. This skills-based program focuses on techniques shown to improve communication and conflict resolution skills, while strengthening overall family and work environments. Pregnancy Counseling and Adoption is yet another service that provides quality services to women and families who are facing an untimely pregnancy or a pregnancy related crisis. This may include adoption services as well as education and referrals with the objective of providing clients with the resources and knowledge to make an informed decision regarding the birth of their child. Other services such as Dads Enrichment Program, Foster Care and Supported Family Living, Friendly Visitors and Mental Health Counseling fill out a wonderful array of help for our local community.
