Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas Golf Classic – Part Two

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ Golf Classic was held recently and raised over $150,000 for their programs. Lamar Hunt Jr. and Loretto Foundation sponsored a hole in support of this worthy charity. Their Three Pillars mission includes a goal that mirrors that of Loretto Foundation:  Strengthening Families. Under this mission goal, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provides a variety of services. One service is Marriage for Keeps. This skills-based program focuses on techniques shown to improve communication and conflict resolution skills, while strengthening overall family and work environments. Another service is the Foster Grandparents Program which mentors at-risk and special needs kids in public schools, day cares and Head Starts. Still yet another great service is Pregnancy Counseling and Adoption which provides quality services to women and families who are facing an untimely pregnancy or a pregnancy related crisis. This may include adoption services as well as education and referrals with the objective of providing clients with the resources and knowledge to make an informed decision regarding the birth of their child.
